What our apprentices and staff say

Ryan Owens - Aprentice Bricklayer: "NLRCo have given me an amazing opportunity to be onsite and have done nothing but help me all the way through.  It is a brilliant college by all standards."

Nathan Fairbrother – Apprentice joiner: "NLRCo have helped me progress my skills my trade (Joinery)  They have supported me all the way both in professional and personal ways as I am a young dad.  I am onsite and I am earning whilst working towards my level 2 NVQ"

Neil Hughes – NVQ Assessors: "For the past 11 months I have worked as a joinery N.V.Q Assessor for N.L.R.Co helping young learners to achieve there level 2 N.V.Q in Site Carpentry. The trainee joiners have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of construction projects across the city gaining valuable experience and improving their confidence whilst carrying out joinery tasks. I have found that the trainees are eager to learn and expand their joinery knowledge and working along side a joinery mentor whilst training is a distinct advantage. While carrying out on-site assessments, I have been pleasently surprised at the standard and quality of the work produced by the trainee joiners and I am delighted when this leads to full time employment once the trainee is fully qualified.

It has been a pleasure to work for N.L.R.Co. I have found the management and staff to be extremely helpful and friendly and I believe that I am working for a company that delivers a first class opportunity for any young lad who wishes to become a joiner."
